We emit an enormous amount of CO2 into the atmosphere that we are learning could be very dangerous to our atmosphere. Basically, we need to quit doing it as soon as possible.
Carbon capture and sequestration is the separation of carbon dioxide from the exhaust gasses of fossil fueled power plants, then the transportation of that captured carbon dioxide liquid to its sequestration destination. These include deep saline aquifers, oil fields, and algae bioreactors to produce fuel.
